When can I expected to have a Worker Advisor assigned to my file?
Due to a high volume of requests, the current wait time to have an Advisor assigned to your file is approximately 3-4 months.
Why is there a delay in assigning my file?
We are experiencing an unprecedented volume of requests, resulting in longer than expected assignment times.
Can I speed up having a Worker Advisor assigned to my file?
We understand that the importance of having your file assigned as quickly as possible. Due to the high volume of incoming requests, we assign all cases on a first-come, first served basis. We do not expedite any requests.
How will I know when an Advisor has been assigned to my file?
Once an Advisor has been assigned to your file they will contact you.
What can I do while I wait for a Worker Advisor to be assigned?
You can continue to work with WCB staff to ensure your file is progressing as needed.
You may file a Request for Review at the Dispute Resolution & Decision Review (DRDRB) or a Notice of Appeal form at the Appeals Commission to ensure you don’t miss any time limits to appeal. Please see our Appeals Process Overview page for more information.

Do I need to submit additional documents while waiting for an Advisor to be assigned?
Please hold all correspondence and documentation until you are assigned an Advisor.
Is alternate representation available?
Paid representatives or lawyers may be willing to represent you if you are unable to wait for an Advisor to be assigned. However please note, the Advisor Office will not represent you if you have secured alternate representation.
